MY STORY

At Power Your Partnerships, I understand that change is not always easy. When family relationships strain or when the business struggles because of conflict, I have the tools to help companies of all sizes make the transitions needed to stay competitive.

Raised as the 7th of eight children, I learned early on how to negotiate interpersonal relationships. That personal experience led me to a master's degree in counseling where I discovered the power of a good question. I spent 25 years in higher education, helping individuals and groups discover their talents through formal and informal coaching and teaching. My doctorate in educational administration and leadership was the fulfillment of a dream - spurred by healthy sibling competition - to uncover the influence of structural and interpersonal power in relationships. That academic knowledge has been applied to practical situations in organizations that range from small, family-owned businesses and non-profits to large corporations, including my role within Human Resources as Organization Development manager for a market-leading technology company.
